Taiwan on High Alert After China's Missile Test-Firing

Taiwan's Defense Ministry has raised its alert level following reports of extensive missile test-firing conducted by China's Rocket Force, approximately 1,600 kilometres away from the island. The ministry confirmed heightened activity and increased vigilance from Taiwan's air force in response to these developments.

China, which considers Taiwan a breakaway province, has been ramping up military activities in the region, viewing the island's independence-leaning Democratic Progressive Party with suspicion.
